Hello! Mr. Duty will be running a BYOT performance from the 23rd to the 27th of July (next week!) and it will require a bit of prep from you, the players, in advance.

My shorthand for this game is Sacrifice PVP and it is loosely based on ye ole Sea Witch game from Aather (for fellow dinosaurs who were there). Two characters will be locked together and in order to get out they will be forced to sacrifice something. What thing? Of what significance? That will be up to the characters!

Floor, does this mean one of the two characters will be forced to sacrifice themself?

No, not necessarily! Once again, that is ultimately up to what the characters choose to do while locked together. I don't want to give away too much yet, but please know it's possible for both characters to exit the room with minimal losses.

How will the pairs be the decided?

This is the part where the prep is needed: You will OOCly decide. In the spirit of PPP and other similar group-based games, I will give you up to 4 simultaneous run slots for each character (so you can have up to 4 runs if you play one character, or up to 8 if you play two). You don't have to fill up all your slots, since ultimately only one of the 4 will be scored. You will decide which one when you do turn-in.

The main thing here is that you will have between game start on Wednesday until late Saturday to do your threads/submit your results, so on Sunday I can get endgame up early and you have the rest of the day for fallout.

IMPORTANT: I will not accept "inconclusive" threads for turn in. What does this mean? It means the thread you submit will need to have reached the point where one or two of the characters submit their choice(s) of what to sacrifice. This will not be like bingo where you can assume a task was completed before getting to play it out, I will actually need those choices to be onscreen for it to count. This is why I am limiting the number of runs you can do.

I cannot and will not stop you from doing your own unscored chaos runs, but please be mindful of your thread loads and energy, since being slow/unavailable can negatively impact your partners. Every player will need to have at least one "finished" thread in order to have their run scored.

Here's some examples to help:

- Goku and Captain America have made a choice of what to sacrifice within 5 comments and submitted that ICly = Good for turn in (and you can keep threading after the fact if you want)

- Indiana Jones and Tintin have been at it for 500 comments and have made the IC choice Not To Choose = Good for turn in, Mr. Duty will RNG the choice for you and you will have consequences to play with, the score will be based on RNG as well

- Wolverine and Luffy are fighting to the death for 200 comments and still have not submitted anything ICly by the time submissions are due = Bad, I will not be able to score this run for either character

(Of course, exceptions can be made if there's extenuating circumstances that lead to a thread not being "finished", but for the most part, please try to lock in and finalize choices properly)

Sorry for the wall of text, but I want you to have all this information in advance so you can plan your runs accordingly. Once you have a decided on who your partner(s) will be, please set up a private post that is locked only to the two of you so you can start playing as early as possible next Wednesday.

Can I get an RNG partner?

Yes, if you want to have a completely randomized run, I can set one (1) up for you. Please sign up in the designated thread below before Saturday at midnight so I can give you your assigned partner on Sunday and have enough time for prep and such.

Thank you for your attention and feel free to leave any questions below!

You already answered this in discord like 2 weeks ago but I'm going to ask it again here so it's in an easy-to-locate space

question two -

If pvp is an option will blessings/powers be available (so long as it doesn't break the spirit etc)? If it's too early to say/ask/is a surprise totally cool but figured I'd ask for somewhat plotting options
