I don't want to make this into a big sob story. I don't care for those. But if they take me back, my life won't be mine anymore. It'll be my mother's.

She controlled my phone, my computers, the people I spoke to, the things I said, the clothes I wore, the food I ate. I was only allowed to study business or marketing so I could continue to work in my family's company. My hobbies had to be related to things she liked or she shut them all down. She even chose my shampoo. It had to be ketchup instead of mayonnaise. Shoes without shoe laces. Pastel colors. Light make-up at all times. Professional manicure. There was a list of prohibited words and expressions. She had her personal assistant manage my schedule and check in on me constantly.
